Gate Gunners
Your squad runs forward on its own and fires at everything ahead. Your job is to steer. Every few seconds the road splits into two gates, and the one you run through changes your squad: + adds soldiers, × multiplies them, − and ÷ take them away, and some gates boost your fire rate or damage instead.
How to play
- Drag left and right (or use the arrow keys) to steer.
- Shoot a gate before you reach it to raise its number. Enough bullets turn a red −8 into a blue +4.
- Zombies trade one for one with your soldiers. Shoot them before they reach you.
- Blow up red barrels from a distance; touching one costs soldiers.
- Break open weapon crates to upgrade from pistol to SMG, rifle, minigun and laser.
- At the end, the boss stomps. Dodge the red circle and keep firing.
Tips
Early on, adding beats multiplying: ×2 on one soldier is only two. Once your squad is big, the × gates win. Spend coins between levels on a bigger starting squad first; it makes every later gate worth more.
Coins, upgrades and losing
Every zombie, crate and boss pays out coins, and clearing a level adds a bonus for the soldiers you still have. Coins buy three upgrades that last forever: a bigger starting squad, a faster fire rate and harder-hitting bullets. Prices climb with each level of an upgrade, so spread them out.
If your squad is wiped out, the coins you picked up are kept. The loss screen shows the three upgrades right there, so you can spend what you earned and retry the level in one tap. You can also watch a short ad once per run to bring your squad back. The revive grows with the level and with how big your squad got, and you keep the weapon you were holding. Each new level changes the scenery and makes the hordes and the boss tougher, so come back with upgrades when a level feels like a wall.
