Jigsaw Puzzles
Jigsaw Puzzles is a relaxing online jigsaw you can play on a phone, a tablet or a computer, with nothing to install. Every picture is painted fresh by the game: kites over the rooftops of Jaipur, rows of Diwali diyas, a lotus pond with koi, snowy Himalayan peaks strung with prayer flags, palm beaches, mountain lakes, sailing boats, mustard fields, rangoli, stained glass, tile mosaics and waves of colour. There is always a new one to try.
How to play
- The pieces start in the tray around the board. Drag one with your finger or the mouse and let go near its place: it clicks in.
- Two pieces that belong together also click together anywhere on the table, and then move as one. Join small groups first and drop the whole group onto the board.
- Pieces on the board are locked, so you can't knock them out by accident. The puzzle is done when the last piece goes in.
- On a small screen, pinch or tap Zoom to make the pieces bigger, and drag an empty part of the table to look around. With a mouse, scroll to zoom.
Tips
Start with the edges. Tap Edges to hide every piece except the border ones, build the frame, then switch the rest back on. Next, tap Sort: the loose pieces are laid out in tidy rows, border pieces first and the rest grouped by colour, so all the sky ends up together and all the water together. Work on the areas with the most detail, such as boats, kites or flowers, and leave the big skies for last, when the shapes of the tabs and blanks are the only clue left.
Preview shows the finished picture faintly on the board. A Hint lights up a piece and its spot; you get three for every puzzle, and after that you can watch a short ad to have five pieces placed for you (those puzzles don't count towards best times).
Daily puzzle and gallery
Every day there is one daily puzzle of 48 pieces, the same picture for everyone. Finish it on consecutive days to build a streak, then share your time with friends without giving the picture away. If you start the daily before midnight, it stays yours to finish. In the gallery, pick a theme (or let the game surprise you) and a size from 12 to 200 pieces. Switch on Turn pieces for an extra challenge: pieces start turned, and you tap a piece to rotate it. Your puzzle in progress, your best times for each size and your streak are saved in this browser, so you can close the page and carry on later.
