Stack Tower
Stack Tower is a one-tap game about timing. A slab slides back and forth over the top of your tower, and you drop it with a single tap. Line it up and the tower climbs. Drop it early or late and the part hanging over the edge is sliced off, so the next slab is a little narrower. How tall can you build before the tower runs out of room?
How to play
- Tap anywhere on the game, click, or press Space or Enter to drop the sliding slab.
- Only the part that lands on the block below stays. The overhang breaks off and tumbles away.
- Slabs come in from alternate sides, one level along one edge and the next along the other, so both the width and the depth of your tower can shrink.
- If a slab misses the tower completely, the run is over. Your score is the number of blocks you stacked.
- Slabs speed up gently as the tower grows, and the colours and the sky change as you climb.
Perfect drops and combos
Drop a slab almost exactly on top of the one below and it snaps neatly into place with a chime and a ripple. That is a perfect drop, and nothing is cut. Perfects in a row build a combo, and the chime climbs higher with each one. From the third perfect in a row, every further perfect also grows the slab back a little, up to the full size you started with. A long combo is the only way to win back width you have lost.
If you miss, you can watch a short ad once per run to continue. The miss is undone and your top block comes back wide, so you can keep climbing.
Tips
- Watch the leading edge of the slab, not its middle. Tap when it meets the far edge of the block below.
- Don't rush. The slab keeps sliding back and forth, so you can wait for the next pass if you aren't sure.
- Small slices add up. A slightly narrow tower is fine, but a thin one is hard to save, so chase perfects early while the slabs are slow.
- Find a rhythm. Most players drop a beat too late once the tower speeds up, so tap a touch earlier than feels natural.
